CICSoft provides a collaborative environment for members to enhance their technical capabilities while developing applications. CICSoft creates an atmosphere for students to learn application development from the ground up through weekly sessions. Our Lab division aims to develop and publish next-generation apps for UMass and the greater community.
We aim to teach students to build great apps regardless of their major and field. CICSoft aims to enhance students' technical skills and bring their ideas to life by teaching native software like Android studio and XCode as well as cutting-edge technologies like Flutter. Besides a spoonful of compassion, CICSoft does not require any prior experience or skill.
Register NowBeginning this semester, we intend to hold technology hours periodically to explore intriguing tools and methods like Amazon Web Services, Firebase, CI/CD pipelines that would aid in developing robust softwares. We will also cover reviews and discussions about recent and upcoming trends in technology, such as popular products and solutions.
Our mission is to create amazing apps for UMass and the surrounding community, in the spirit of Manning CICS' goal of "computing for the common good". Each year, lab developers will be hired to work on certain projects throughout the year. We expect lab developers to have some experience, which they would gain as a member!
